Dauda Garuba works with the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) as Senior Programme Officer for Peace and Security under the Governance, Security & Development thematic area. Besides the above, Mr. Garuba is a doctoral degree student in the Department of Political Science, University of Benin, Benin City – Nigeria, where he has completed all but dissertation (ABD). He is widely published in reputable local and international journals and has a lot of book chapters to his credit. He is co-author of the book titled: Democracy, Oil and Politics in the Niger Delta: Linking Citizens’ Perception with Policy Reform (2007). He has participated in numerous local and international conferences, scientific researches and special missions/fora. Mr. Garuba is a Laureate/fellow of many reputed institutions, including being African Association of Political Science/Harry Frank Guggenheim Young Scholar and Graduate Institute of International Studies (Geneva) Young Scholar. His academic and project implementation interests are in Peace & Security, Democratic governance and Political economy.
