Currently Tulus T.H. Tambunan is the director of the Center for Industry and SMEs studies, University of Trisakti. He is also the economic advicer for the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia). In the last 10 years, he has been involved as a national consultant or an associated researcher for a number of international agencies such as ILO, UNDP, UNIDO, ADB, World Bank, JETRO, UNESCAP and many others on Industrial and SME development issues. Tambunan holds a PhD in economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Before, he was also graduated from the same university and is a country researcher for the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva, which publishes, annually, The Global Competitiveness Report. He has also been appointed as editorial board member or reviewer of a number of international business journals such as the Journal of Business and Entrepreneurship, the Journal of Asian Business, the Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship, and the African Journal of Business and Management.
